PPN invites all pastors to attend a special conference call on Tuesday morning, June 2nd to hear Jeff Mateer give us an update on the Supreme Court decision regarding same-sex marriage.
Jeff Mateer recently participated at the U-Turn Conference on March 19 at Lancaster Bible College. As a constitutional attorney with Liberty Institute, one of APN’s official partners, he will be joining the call to provide us with an update on the status of the marriage case and discuss the implications from the Court’s ruling.
Here are some of the questions Jeff will be addressing:
(Background) At the end of June, the U.S. Supreme Court is expected to issue a landmark decision in Obergefell v. Hodges that may result in redefinition of marriage with major implications for religious liberty rights of all Americans, including pastors and churches. During April’s oral argument before the Court, religious liberty ramifications from a decision judicially imposing a redefinition of marriage were front and center.
- What are the possible and probable rulings coming from the Court?
- What are the implications for pastors and churches from a ruling imposing a redefinition of marriage?
- What can pastors and churches be doing today to prepare for an adverse ruling?
Please join us by dialing into our conference line this Tuesday morning, June 2nd, from 9-10amEST:
